This site is run by Canfall for Richland Two School Board. This page explains what information the site collects and who else handles it.
When you sign up to volunteer
The form asks for your name, email and ZIP code. Your phone number, how you would like to help, and a note to the campaign are optional. When you send the form, those details are emailed to the campaign. We use them to contact you and to organize volunteers. We never sell them. Vercel, which hosts the site, and Resend, which delivers the email to the campaign's Yahoo Mail inbox, handle them. Our web developer, who builds and maintains this site for the campaign, can also see sign-ups. We share them with no one else outside the campaign.
We send text messages only if you check the box that asks for them. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to end them. We never share your text-message consent or phone number with anyone for their own marketing.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and volunteer sign-ups, so we can tell whether the site and our flyers are reaching people. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as the pages you view, your browser and device, and your approximate location. When you sign up, it records that a sign-up happened. It never receives what you typed into the form. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off for this site, and it is not linked to Google Ads. Google Analytics loads only when your internet connection appears to be in the United States, so visits that appear to come from the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland are not measured. A VPN can change where your connection appears to be.
Google explains how it uses this information in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits with Google's opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking all cookies for this site. Without cookies, this site does not load Google Analytics. Opting out does not stop you from using the volunteer form.
Services that help run the site
The site is hosted by Vercel, which handles every visit, including your IP address and browser details, in order to deliver the pages. Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from a person and not a bot. It runs when a page with the volunteer form loads, and Cloudflare collects information about your browser and device to do that check. Resend delivers the sign-up email to the campaign's Yahoo Mail inbox. These services process the information they need to do those jobs.
Donations
Donations are made on a page run by Anedot, not on this site. The donate buttons are plain links to that page, so this site never sees your payment details. Anedot collects the information needed to process contributions and report them as the law requires, under its own privacy policy.
Cookies this site sets itself
Apart from Google Analytics, the site sets two cookies of its own. The first holds only a yes or no: whether the page should load Google Analytics, based on where your connection appears to be. It has no name or ID in it, and it ends when you close your browser. The second is used only by people working on the campaign who sign in to a private page, and lasts up to 90 days. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google.
Questions
To ask about your information, or to have us delete it, email info@canfallforr2.com. We will delete your volunteer information from the campaign's inbox and records on request. The service that delivers our email keeps its own copy for no more than 30 days. Donation records that the law requires the campaign to keep cannot be deleted.
